Before becoming a Coach, I worked several years as a civil servant for the Government of Finland. I worked with international organizations such as the United Nations in projects concerning environmental policy and sustainable development. I have a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy.

I provide services both at my own company, and as the Team Member at Conscious Leadership Coaching Oy.

In addition, I am an aspiring author, finishing my first novel in 2020.

Everything changed for me in 2015.

I was working as a civil servant for the Government of Finland, immersed in environmental policy that was my passion, participating extremely interesting meetings in New York, Nairobi, and Brussels. International work has always been, and still is, a part of my identity. I was ambitious and striving for more.

However, even though I didn’t want to admit it to myself, I was extremely stressed out and neglecting myself completely. I worked long days and long nights, always sleep deprived, ignoring the brain fog that followed, eating randomly, exercising hardly ever. I was burning out.

That year, my father, who was just a couple of years away from his retirement after decades of working extremely hard, was diagnosed with ALS. He never got the retirement he always talked about.

It woke me up to re-evaluate my life and my values. I saw how short and precious life is, and how important it is for me to live every day fully, enjoying the little things, honoring my health and the time with my loved ones. It made me really question the choices I had made so far.

In the autumn of 2015, I signed up for volunteer work at the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. There, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, I re-connected with myself and found my true passion that matched my values. I began my courageous journey to becoming a life coach and a yoga instructor.

Today, I feel extremely fulfilled when I get to coach and empower my clients so they can see what really is possible for them in their lives. And I feel so happy when I get to offer a yoga classes where my clients can relieve their stress and re-connect with themselves. Seeing the results of this work, I know that all those hard decisions I have made along the way, have been completely worth it!

How about you? Are you living your life honoring yourself and your values?
